Here in the afterglow of Christmas just before the new year, in that unique period of time where our focus seems to shift from family to friends; thoughts of renewal and new beginnings herald the coming of a fresh new year. It is here, during this wonderful time of reflection that I decided to start my blog. The hard part was deciding where to start. I have been a terrible hoarder of photos and writings. With the wonderful tools for communication that we have, why would I not share what I have with others. After all, isn't that connection and feeling of communication the reason that we take photos, write songs, and tell stories in the first place? So where to begin? I have decided that right now would be a good place to start. The start of a new year and a new decade, it seemed like this would be a good launching point to start documenting my travels, excursions, and adventures going forward, as well as share some of my past experiences and journeys.
One of my favourite things about this time of year is getting together with family to enjoy the warmth of each others company and share that sense of belonging. A feeling that is personified by the warmth and cosiness of a house surrounded by the biting blueish winter cold outside. These are some photos that were taken during Christmas by myself and my young cousin Samantha.
