Itinerary

  • As you walk out of Indira Gandhi International Airport, there will be a car waiting to take you to the hotel just over 4 kilometres away.  Roseate House New Delhi is a contemporary upscale 5 star hotel in the capital’s only hospitality district, Aerocity. The day is free to relax and meet up with your hosts Evan & Manpreet who will be leading the tour and also be introduced to the other guests.

  • After a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast (included), we will be transferred to the airport and board a domestic flight to Jabalpur. Here we will meet with our driver and enjoy a drive through rural India. We will have a comfortable vehicle with three persons plus driver, so there will be enough space for all of your luggage. Our stay will be at King’s Lodge, an eco-luxury Wildlife Resort which is single use plastic free and 10 minutes drive from the reserve.

After a delicious meal we will retire for the night after making sure that our cards are cleared, batteries charged, and gear is ready for the morning

  • We wake up very early in the morning, have our tea / coffee and leave to be at the park gates by 6 am. Bandhavgarh Tiger reserve is known to have the highest density of tigers in the world. As the sky lightens up, we will start our hunt for tigers. We will be accompanied by some of the best guides who are experts at listening to the forest. We will learn how the alarm calls of animals like the langur give information as to the whereabouts of the tigers. Later we will stop for a packed picnic breakfast prepared by the chef and their team at King’s lodge. We will then continue looking for tigers and other wildlife. By 11 am we will return to the lodge. Here we can import our images or just relax, have an amazing lunch, rest up and be ready for another forest adventure in the afternoon. We will return to Kings lodge for dinner and the night.

  • After breakfast, we are back on the road again driving through the countryside experiencing the rural Indian lifestyle. Lunch awaits you at the Kanha Earth Lodge. The lodge, an example of green architecture, has been meticulously designed using locally sourced materials such as mud plaster, stone, terracotta tiles, rough-hewn timber beams. It is tucked away in a small hamlet bordering the Kanha Tiger Reserve and is built in less than 10% of the 16 acres of natural forest that houses it.

The afternoon is free to relax and you will have a chance this evening to sit down with Evan / Manpreet to get feedback on images photographed so far

  • Sprawling across 1,949 sq. kms Kanha National Park is one of the largest in Madhya Pradesh. It is primarily a moist Sal and mixed deciduous forest which is home to over 1,000 species of flowering plants and around 300 species of birds. Like before we will do a morning & afternoon safari, returning to the lodge for lunch & dinner

  • After breakfast, we depart on the 4 hour drive to our next reserve. A very special experience awaits you at Pench. We will have reservations at a wildlife resort where you will be staying in luxury treehouses. This is unlike any other. Only 20 minutes from the Park gates, snuggled in 40m acres of old growth forest, the Pench Tree Lodges keep their carbon footprint to a bare minimum.

This evening we will get a chance again to take a look at your images and answer any questions you may have or optionally you could sit in the luxury hide and photograph birds at their eye level

  • Pench is the national park (then known as Seoni Jungle) that inspired Sir Rudyard Kipling to write “The Jungle Book” set in this lush and picturesque landscape. Pench National Park is a realm of natural splendor, home to a diverse array of flora and fauna. The park boasts a rich wildlife population, including tigers, Indian leopards, sloth bears, various species of spotted deer, nilgai, sambar, chinkara, wild dogs, gaurs, and the wolves (remember Mowgli’s adoptive family). Additionally, Pench is a birdwatcher’s paradise, hosting over 210 species of birds, including many migratory species.

We will spend the next 2 days exploring this reserve with its towering teak, Mahua, and dense bamboo groves with morning and afternoon safaris

  • Today we drive to Tadoba where we will stay at the Waghoba Eco-Lodge. This lodge has set new standards in eco-friendliness and conscious luxury. Handmade adobe bricks, Guna vault roof tiles, stone and broken ceramics lend it a rustic yet deluxe look.

In the evening you have the option of time to look at your images with Evan & Manpreet, spend time in the bird hide here or relax in the pool

  • Tadoba is fast becoming one of the main hot spots for seeing tigers because of the increase in tiger population and some incredible sightings in recent years. Tadoba National Park features a dry deciduous forest dominated by teak and bamboo trees, interspersed with grasslands. This vegetation allows for better visibility and excellent wildlife sightings. Despite being a dry forest, Tadoba has several lakes and rivers that provide abundant water sources for the park.

We will be doing a morning and an afternoon safari at Tadoba over the next two days returning for lunch to the lodge.

Additionally here we will be in the luxury lodge vehicles modified with the middle seat removed for a lower viewpoint to help get exceptional shots.

  • As all good things come to an end, so does this adventure. But you would have had an amazing time, learnt a whole lot and made some new friends. Plus memory cards and hard drives with pictures to remind you of every moment of this trip
